Departure
Morning departure from Athens. First short stop in Nea Artaki for coffee and rest.
Agia Kyriaki Chapel
Continuation towards Steni Evia. Before reaching the village, we stop at the picturesque chapel of Agia Kyriaki Chapel, hidden inside a lush ravine filled with plane trees and crystal-clear waters flowing down from the mountain.
The chapel’s cave-like interior is particularly unique. Around the area, we admire the running waters forming small waterfalls and, a few steps higher, a small emerald-green pond fed by another gentle cascade — a truly magical natural setting.
Steni Evia
Our next stop is the mountain village of Steni. The scent of the forest, the sound of running water, and the view of houses built on the mountain slopes create a calm and authentic atmosphere.
Walking along the pedestrian path, we reach the village center and its stone-paved square, full of lively cafés, traditional coffee houses, and tavernas built above the ravine and under the shade of a dense plane-tree forest — famous for their excellent local meats.
⏳ Free time for coffee and lunch.
Those who wish may visit the village’s famous spring, known as “Doctor’s Fountain”, located about 500 meters from the main square, surrounded by plane trees and abundant flowing waters.
Chalkida
At 17:00, departure towards Chalkida, where we make a pleasant stop to enjoy our afternoon coffee by the sea before returning to Athens.
