Nafplio – Tolo

EXCURSION PROGRAM
Meeting point at Piraeus at 08:00 a.m. and Omonia at 08:30 a.m., and we set off for our excursion! We will make a short stop for coffee and rest before continuing our journey.
Our first destination is the picturesque and cosmopolitan Tolo — a seaside village just steps from the sea. It invites visitors to enjoy moments of relaxation and fun on its golden beaches. We will swim at Psili Ammos, a stunning, pristine beach of unmatched beauty with golden sand. This beach is ideal for both children and adults, perfect not only for swimming but also for water sports for those interested. You can also enjoy your coffee at one of the many beachside cafés and bars. We will stay in Tolo for our lunch at one of the local taverns.
After lunch, we will depart for the beautiful Nafplio, the first capital of Greece after liberation from the Turks. Today, Nafplio is the capital of the Argolis prefecture and one of the most beloved tourist destinations in the country. You will have free time for lunch in one of the traditional taverns located in Syntagma Square or in the surrounding narrow streets.
Free time will also be available for coffee, a stroll, ice cream, or shopping in the center or along Nafplio’s waterfront with views of the Bourtzi fortress. For walking enthusiasts, there’s the circular Arvanitia promenade — a scenic paved path by the sea offering Nafplio’s most peaceful and beautiful views.
Before leaving for Athens, we will visit Palamidi fortress by bus to admire the breathtaking view from 216 meters high (or 999 steps for the brave). It is one of Greece’s finest castles and the largest, best-preserved fortress complex from the Venetian period, still in excellent condition.
In the late afternoon, we will start our journey back to Athens, with a short stop for rest along the way.
