Monastery of Saint Patapios in Loutraki – Lake Vouliagmeni
Date: 13/09
EXCURSION PROGRAM
Departure at 07:30 a.m. from Piraeus and 07:50 a.m. from Omonia. After a short stop along the way, we will arrive at the Holy Monastery of Saint Patapios, built in a panoramic location on a steep slope to house the sacred relics of the Saint, which were discovered in a cave on the Geraneia Mountains in 1904. His feast day is celebrated on December 8. We will stay here for pilgrimage and to admire the breathtaking views.
We then continue to Lake Vouliagmeni (Loutraki), famous for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant tourist development. The lagoon is connected to the waters of the Corinthian Gulf through a narrow channel. Here, you will have free time for swimming and lunch (optional) at one of the many seaside taverns.
In the afternoon, we will depart for the popular seaside resort of Loutraki, where we will make a short stop, and then begin our return journey to Athens and Piraeus with a brief stop on the way.
